A 1928, 9ct gold rectangular vintage Rolex watch. The case measures  24.5 x 38mm (including lugs), with 18mm lugs and is numbered, with reference 556 to the back. The case is signed Rolex, 20 World’s Records, Geneva-Suisse, RWCLtd. (Rolex Watch Company Limited) and hallmarked Glasgow 1928. The manual wind, Extra Prima movement is signed Rolex, Swiss Made, Timed 6 Positions, For All Climates, with 15 jewels. The champagne dial has black baton hour indicators with subsidiary seconds and fine blued steel ‘modernes’ hands. The dial is signed Rolex above the centre.
