A 1930, silver round vintage Vertex Half-hunter watch, retailed by Asprey. The case measures 33.5mm in diameter, with 14mm lugs.The protective front cover has blue enamel Arabic numerals surrounding the small glass, to enable the wearer to tell the time more readily. The case is signed V.W.Co. (Vertex Watch Company), hallmarked London 1930 and numbered. The manual wind movement, with protective dust cover, is signed Vertex, Swiss Made, with 17 jewels. The silvered guilloche (engine turned) sunburst dial has black Roman numerals, with subsidiary seconds dial and fine blued steel ‘pour double-effet’ hands. The dial is signed Asprey above the centre.
