A 1933, stainless steel rectangular vintage Omega wrist watch. The case measures 22 x 35 mm (excluding lugs), with 18mm lugs. The case is signed Omega, Acier Staybrite, Fab. Suisse and numbered. The 20F calibre, manual wind movement is signed Omega, Swiss Made, with 15 jewels and numbered. The two-tone, silvered dial has black Arabic numerals, with an outside minute track, subsidiary seconds dial and fine blued steel ‘modernes‘ hands. The dial is signed Omega above the centre.
Omega Calibre 20F movement
The calibre 20F manual wind movement was developed by Omega in the late 1920s. In an early 1930s catalogue, Omega described the calibre 20 as having “wonderful timekeeping qualities, sturdiness, elegance, style”.
