A simply stunning ‘Art Deco’ vintage Omega wristwatch, with fabulous original dial!
A 1934, rare, large stainless steel, rectangular vintage Omega watch. The case measures 25 x 38 mm (including lugs), with 18mm lugs. The case, with decorative flared sides, is signed Omega, Acier Staybrite, Fab. Suisse and numbered. The calibre 20F, manual wind movement is signed Omega, Swiss Made, with 15 jewels and numbered. The original silvered ‘Art Deco’ dial has black batons, a subsidiary seconds dial and fine blued steel ‘pleines’ hands. The dial is signed Omega above the centre.
Omega Calibre 20F movement
The calibre 20F manual wind movement was developed by Omega in the late 1920s. In an early 1930s catalogue, Omega described the calibre 20 as having “wonderful timekeeping qualities, sturdiness, elegance, style”.
