A fabulous, rare black dial, Omega wristwatch from the early 1930s!
A 1933, stainless steel rectangular vintage Omega watch. The case measures 22 x 40 mm (including lugs), with 18mm lug size. The case is signed Omega, Swiss Made, Acier Inrouillable and numbered dating the watch to 1933. The calibre 20F, manual wind movement is signed Omega, Swiss with 15 jewels and numbered. The black dial has raised silver baton hour markers, with a subsidiary seconds dial and fine ‘pleines’ hands. The dial is signed Omega above the centre.
Omega Calibre 20F movement
The calibre 20F manual wind movement was developed by Omega in the late 1920s. In an early 1930s catalogue, Omega described the calibre 20 as having “wonderful timekeeping qualities, sturdiness, elegance, style”.
