A simply stunning ‘Art Deco’ vintage Omega wristwatch!
A 1934, stainless steel rectangular vintage Omega wrist watch. The case measures 26 x 39 mm (including lugs), with 18mm lug size. The case, with decorative flared sides, is signed Omega, Swiss Made, Acier Staybrite and numbered. The manual wind, calibre 20F movement is signed Omega, Swiss Made, with 15 jewels and numbered. The silvered dial has black baton hour indicators, with an outside minute track, subsidiary seconds dial and fine blued steel ‘modernes’ hands. The dial is signed Omega above the centre.
Omega Calibre 20F movement
The calibre 20F manual wind movement was developed by Omega in the late 1920s. In an early 1930s catalogue, Omega described the calibre 20 as having “wonderful timekeeping qualities, sturdiness, elegance, style”.
