An extremely rare 1930s steel rectangular vintage Rolex watch, ref. 2301! 

A 1934, stainless steel rectangular vintage Rolex watch. The large, curved and flared case measures 31 x 38mm (including lugs) with 24mm lug size. The case is signed Rolex, 25 Records Universels, Geneva Suisse, with case reference 2301 and numbered to the back. The manual wind, reference 360, movement is signed Rolex, Swiss Made, numbered, with 15 Rubies. The champagne dial has gilt Roman numerals to the quarters, with subsidiary seconds and fine gilt hands. The dial is signed Rolex above the centre.

The ‘hour-glass’ shape similar to that of the Rolex Prince Brancard, yet there are only a few examples of this rare case reference. This fine Rolex watch is in superb condition and highly sought after. A truly wonderful addition to any collection!
