A truly stunning, rare Rolex wristwatch, with a fabulous ‘sunburst guilloche’ dial!

A 1928, rare 9ct gold octagonal  vintage Rolex wristwatch. The case measures 25 x 32 mm (excluding lugs) with 14mm lug size. The case is signed R.W.C. Ltd (Rolex Watch Company Limited), Rolex 20 Worlds Record, Geneva-Suisse, hallmarked Glasgow 1928 and numbered to the back with case reference 815. The Rolex Prima movement is timed to 6 positions, for all climates with 15 jewels. The sunburst guilloche, ‘engine turned’, silvered dial has Arabic numerals, with a subsidiary seconds dial and fine blued steel ‘poires squelettes’ hands. The dial is signed Rolex above the centre.
