A truly elegant ‘Art Deco’ wristwatch by Longines, in a rare tonneau shaped case, with ‘exploding’ Arabic numerals.

A 1926, silver tonneau vintage Longines watch. The case measures 27 x 42 mm (including lugs) with 14mm lugs. The case is marked 935 silver and numbered, dating the watch to 1926. The fine quality 11.84N calibre, manual wind, movement is signed Longines, with 15 jewels and numbered. The silvered dial has black ‘exploding’ Arabic numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial, with fine blued steel ‘squelettes’ hands. The dial is signed Longines above the centre.
