A stunning Art Deco two-colour gold rectangular Asprey wristwatch, with ‘exploding’ Arabic numerals!
A 1930, 9ct two-colour gold rectangular vintage Asprey watch. The case measures 23.5 x 40 mm (including lugs), with 17mm lug size. The case is signed A*M, hallmarked Glasgow 1930 and numbered to the back. The fine Swiss Made, manual wind movement is signed Bird-in-Ring, with 15 jewels. The dial has black ‘exploding’ Arabic numerals with a subsidiary seconds dial and fine blued steel ‘cathedrales’ hands. The dial is signed Asprey above the centre.
Bird in Ring, a name registered by Fritz Kundert of the Hefik Watch. The Hefik factory was in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland and the company also had an office in Handsworth, Birmingham, UK.
