A rare early example of a ‘Trench’ or ‘Officers’ watch, in fantastic condition!

An incredibly early, 1916, silver round vintage I.W.C. (International Watch Company) watch. The case measures 33 mm in diameter. The case is hallmarked London 1916, numbered, with a hinged protective dust cover for the movement. The manual wind movement, with ‘pin-set’ hands, is signed S&Co., Peerless, with IWC to the front-plate and numbered. The white enamel dial has black open Arabic numerals with a subsidiary seconds dial and fine blued steel hands. The dial is signed IWC Shaffhausen above the centre.
