1940s rare World War Two steel vintage Omega ‘Pilots’ watch

A rare World War Two steel vintage Omega ‘Pilots’ watch. The case measures 33mm in diameter and is signed Dennison, Made in England (Dennison made cases for a number of watch manufacturers particularly Omega), and fitted with a new NATO strap. The calibre 30T2 movement is signed Omega with 16 jewels and numbered. The original military dial has black Arabic numerals, centre sweep seconds with fine blued steel hands. The dial is signed Omega above the centre with Swiss Made at the number six.

These Omega watches were issued to Spitfire pilots, navigators and ground crew.

It is thought that they were not marked to the back of the case with military issue to safeguard the pilots should they come down in enemy territory!

This is a fabulous example of a WW11 watch in wonderful condition, and very collectable!

This watch has been sold and is retained in our Archive for reference. Please see our Current Omega Stock.
