A stunning ‘Art Deco’ vintage Omega wristwatch from the 1930s!

A 1930, 9ct gold rectangular vintage Omega watch. The case measures 21 x 35mm (including lugs), with 17mm lug size. The case is signed Omega, Swiss Made, hallmarked Edinburgh 1930 and numbered. The manual wind, calibre 20F movement is signed Omega, with 15 jewels and numbered. The two-tone, silvered dial has black Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and fine blued steel ‘Breguet’ hands. The dial is signed Omega above the centre.

Omega Calibre 20F movement

The calibre 20F manual wind movement was developed by Omega in the late 1920s. In an early 1930s catalogue, Omega described the calibre 20 as having “wonderful timekeeping qualities, sturdiness, elegance, style”.
