1930s vintage rose gold rectangular Doctors wristwatch (3180)

A rare vintage 9ct rose gold rectangular Mimolux Duo-dial or Doctors watch. The case measures 22 x 40 mm (including lugs) and is hallmarked Glasgow 1933. The case has a step to the sides, very popular in Art Deco design. The Swiss movement has 15 jewels. The two-tone dial has black baton markers on both the hour/minute dial and the seconds dial. The dial is signed Mimolux to the centre. This style of watch is known as a Doctors watch or Duo-dial because of the large lower seconds dial, which enable the wearer to time beats more accurately.
