The Calendograf was introduced in 1938, with the calibre 475 movement, one of Movado’s most important lines. A number of different models were produced with varying case and dial designs. The Calendograf models were exhibited at the 1940 World’s Fair in New York and also the Basel Watch Fairs during the 1940s. Production of calibre 475 movement ceased in 1954.

Winston Churchill was presented with a gold Calendograf with ‘turtle’ lugs in September 1946 by Swiss citizens as a testimony of their admiration. Andy Warhol also owned several vintage Movado watches, including a Calendograf.
